As you may have heard in our Christmas e-mail, instead of sending cards over the festive period, we decided to make a donation to charity – with you having a say on where the money goes. We asked you to vote on our selection of 3 different causes, those being:

Macmillan Cancer Support aim to improve the lives of people fighting cancer and have grown to become the largest cancer care and support charity in the UK.

As a source of support, they not only help the patients but their carers and families, guiding them through the system and aiding them throughout this troubling time.

Alzheimer’s Society are a leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. They work to improve the quality of life for those affected in England, Wales & NI.

Through their network of services (such as day care and home c, the Alzheimer’s Society touch the lives of over 30,000 people every week.

The British Diabetes Association is the leading charity that cares for and campaigns on behalf of every person affected by or at risk of diabetes.

The BDA provide information, help and peer support so people with diabetes can manage their condition effectively and are one of the largest funders of diabetes research in the UK.

• Alzheimer’s Society – 42%
• Macmillan Cancer Support – 52%

Each charity will benefit as we are donating to all,  divided in proportion to the votes. We all thank you for your support.
